Welcome to LycianShore.com, a website about the Tekke Peninsula of south western Turkey, the area known in ancient times as Lycia.

I have a number of purposes in building this site: one is to advertise Villa Lukka for short term holiday rental, another is to create an informal information resource for visitors to the area. In addition to this, I plan to include commercial links selected on the basis of relevance and usefulness.

As the site is, at least in part, a blog , it necessarily reflects some of the author’s interests – the outdoors, history, photography, the weather, and so on – and, no doubt, some of his biases as well. Right now, however, there’s not much to show for either as the site is in its infancy. So I guess the thing to do is to keep it moving along and hope that it proves both useful and interesting.
