Kalkan Beach

Kalkan Beach: Pebble beach at the entrance to Kalkan harbour. Cafes nearby but no facilities on the beach. Crystal clear water though and no breakers. Good for swimming with a boundary rope to protect swimmers from passing boats. If you like distance swimming, duck under the rope and head across to the public Kisla beach club. You’ll pass the platforms belonging to the Mahal Beach club and the Prince Resort on the way. Try the water slide, have a snack at the cafe and if you don’t feel like swimming back, take the free water taxi to the harbour. You’ll notice there’s a section just as you leave Kalkan beach where the water gets quite a bit colder – caused by an underground stream from the mountains apparently.
