Kaputas Beach

Kaputas Beach: Golden sand and turquoise sea just outside Kalkan.

Five minutes by car from Kalkan on the road to Kas. The beach has formed at the point where the narrow Kaputas Canyon meets the sea. The road passes along the cliff some fifty metres above the beach, and as you look down you’ll understand why this stretch of coastline is called the Turquoise Coast. The blue, green and turquoise shades of the sea are absolutely stunning.

There’s parking space on the side of the road and steps down to the beach (lots of them!). No facilities, so bring your own refreshments and watch out for the sun as there are no umbrellas. It’s a lovely sandy beach though and great place for sunbathing and swimming.

It’s also a popular stopping point for cruising gulets. A lot of day trip boats from Kalkan harbour include it in their itinerary, so that’s an alternative way to get there.
