Situated on a prominent ridge over 500 metres above sea level, and only 15 minutes by car from the Mediterranean resort town of Kalkan, Villa Lukka has stunning views on all sides. To the north is the head of Islamlar Valley with its orchards, vineyards and pines; to the east, across the valley, the opposing ridge of Kisla Dag; due south – with not a house in sight – lies Kalkan Bay and islands; and to the east, an aerial view of the Xanthos plain and the 12 km long beach of Patara.

The 3 bedroom villa has its own swimming pool and a 1,600 sq. m. hillside garden area of olive trees and grapevines. The villa is approached along a 700 metre private drive that serves only three other properties. For the sense of peace that comes with total quiet and expansive views of sea, valleys and mountains, Villa Lukka is unbeatable.

VILLA FEATURES

Living Room: Open plan ground floor living room with sitting, dining and kitchen areas. There are great views all round with three double patio doors opening on to the verandah and pool terrace. In the dining area there is a modern oak dining table with refectory benches to seat six. The sitting room area has two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, coffee table and TV unit.

Kitchen: The kitchen occupies one corner of the living room space. It has pine cupboards, two sinks, new Bosch fridge/freezer, gas cooker with electric oven, new Bosch washing machine. Also provided: microwave, toaster, blender, coffee filter, plus all the other usual cooking utensils.

Bedrooms: There are three bedrooms. On the ground floor, adjoining the living room area, is a small bedroom with two single beds. This room has a lovely view across the valley. Upstairs are two larger bedrooms with patio doors on to a small shared balcony. Both rooms have superb views. One of these bedrooms has a double bed, the other has two single beds. Both rooms have large wardrobes wardrobes with mirrors and drawers. All three bedrooms have their own WC, wash basin and shower cubicle. There is a fourth WC at the foot of the stairs.

Bed linen and bath towels provided. Weekly cleaning and linen change.

Other items: Iron, ironing board, hair dryers. Washing line. CD/DVD player and TV.

Air conditioning units in living room area and all bedrooms.

Outdoors: Terrace with 7.2m x 4m swimming pool, verandah on two sides, 5 sunbeds, 2 umbrellas, patio table and seating for 4. Another table and two chairs near barbecue.

Balcony: Folding table and 2 comfortable folding chairs.

Open garage space for two cars.

Extras: Internet access, mobile phone provided.

Availability

Villa Lukka is available for rent on a weekly basis from 1st May 2010 to 31st October 2010. If you’d like to make a booking, select the days with your mouse then fill in the details in the form below. The changeover day is flexible, however Monday arrivals are preferred. Dates that are already booked are greyed out and cannot be selected.

Payment

Booking Terms

A £200 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the balance payable 8 weeks before the rental start date.

Payment procedure

1. Immediately after you transmit your booking request (or preliminary questions) using the Availability Calendar form, you will receive an automated email acknowledging that your request has gone through.

2. Shortly after this you will receive another email answering whatever questions you might have. Once you are happy with the arrangements, you will need to confirm your booking by paying the confirmation deposit. You will then receive an acknowledgement that your booking is confirmed.

3. The simplest method of payment is via Paypal, using the link below. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque or Internet bank transfer.

4. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a further email 8 weeks before your rental start date, reminding you to pay the outstanding balance.

Why use Paypal?

First, Paypal is secure and is the most commonly used method of payment over the Internet. Secondly, it allows you to use either debit or credit cards without revealing their numbers or your bank account details. Furthermore, you do not need to have a Paypal account to use the facility, and you get a Paypal receipt.

Travel

HOW TO GET THERE

Airports: Dalaman (DLM) and Antalya (AYT)

The nearest airport is Dalaman. The drive takes approx. 1.45 hr. The drive from Antalya takes around 3.5 hours.

There are numerous airlines offering low cost flights. This airline search provides a quick and easy way to find the best deals.

Car Hire / Airport Transfer

As a car is essential at Villa Lukka, the most sensible and economical option is to collect a hire car at the airport and drive to the villa. The Termessos Travel agency who manage the villa have cars for hire, details of which can be found on their website: http://www.termessos-kalkan.com.

Termessos, which is managed by Gurbuz and Christine, also do airport transfers and have a special deal whereby if you wish you can be driven back to the villa in the car hired from them. If you choose to drive yourself from the airport, you will need first to go to the Termessos office in Kalkan from where you will be taken to the villa and shown around. The Termessos office is easily located. Entering Kalkan on the new highway, turn right at the traffic lights. The Termessos office is several hundred metres down the road on the right, immediately after the second road off to the right. (See map on the Termessos-Kalkan website.)
